Dear Parents,

As Spring draw near, it’s time for students to start thinking about preparing for college applications. At Bedford Prep, we’ve been working diligently to get ready for the SAT preparation classes we will be offering this spring. Bedford Prep has been happy to work with the students from Fox Lane High School over the past 11 years and we are confident that our classes this year will be both enjoyable and educational for all of the students.

This year, we are offering an exciting new program that focuses on one section of the SAT at a time. This program, which meets two hours once a week, will help students focus on the area in which they feel they need the most help.  With regard to the March exam, the Verbal only class would meet on January 18, Feb. 1 and 15 and then March 7.  The Math only section for March would meet on January 25, February 8 and 29.  The pricing for the Verbal only for the March exam is $260 and the Math for the March exam would be $199. For the May exam, the previous dates would apply and then the Math could pick up on March 14, and 18; April 18 and May 2 at a cost of $440.  The Verbal dates would be March 21; April 11 and 25 for the same cost.  

For the traditional SAT class, which will meet from 6-8pm once per week, we will be offering options for both the March 2012 and the May 2012 exam. The earlier SAT program is geared towards students taking the March exam and will run for 7 weeks, two hours per week. Our second SAT program, which prepares students for the May exam, runs for 14 weeks. Each course is taught by licensed New York State teachers who have years of experience. We will also offer full-length practice tests, at no additional cost, on specific weekday afternoons to simulate testing conditions. We do recommend that students sit for at least one full practice exam before sitting for the actual SAT or ACT.

At Bedford Prep, our goal is to help all students find success in school and on the exams. Our spring programs include the following:

March Exam Cost: $445

February 1, 8, 15, 29

May Exam Cost: $890

All of the above dates plus

March 14, 21, 28;

April 11, 18, 25

May 2.  

All Classes run from 6-8pm at Fox Lane High School

To register, students should return the enclosed application or register online and return full payment to Bedford Prep at P.O. Box 172, Bedford, NY 10506. Upon registration, we will ask the students to forward a copy of their PSAT scores so we can appropriately place them in a group. Please keep in mind that a student is not considered enrolled in the class until Bedford Prep has received all the completed forms and associated fees. Payment information and our cancellation policy are provided on the enclosed application form. It is also important to note that these classes are limited in size and we work on a first-come basis, so please respond quickly! We will provide all materials for the class, so the students simply need to show up with a pencil and a desire to achieve.
